Registration is Now Open   

We have opened registration for those of you that want to plan your running schedule and for those out of town runners that want to plan a vacation.  Over the past 4 years as the Race Director I have seen the race grow with so many new faces along the veterans of GTIS.  I would like to invite all of you back this year to make it the best race ever. I would like to have over 5,000 runners and walkers enjoy one of the best half marathons in the United States.

Georgetown to Idaho Springs was named the Half Marathon of the Year by Colorado Runner Magizine 2011 and we have passed some key milestones.  We have riasied over $1 million over the past 34 years and over $100,000 last year.  That has allowed our schools to continue to offer middle schools sports, expand into girls soccer and boys lacrosse as well as continue to support our arts and music programs.

We work very hard to make our race one that you will remember for all right reasons, fun, great course, relaxing expo at the finish.   This year we are adding new features to our website and will be setting up an online store as well as slightly changing the finish to make it more supporter and runner friendly.
